I recently graduated from the University of Toledo, and I am currently working as a student worker. I currently hold 3 college degrees. A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering Technologies, an associates in Computer Maintenance and Networking, and an associates in Applied Electronics. However, I am looking for an entry level full time job in the field of Information Services, perhaps Help Desk type work. After gaining experience I hope to be a network administrator one-day. I am interested in a decent starting wage for my level of education.
My resume is currently on monster.com and careerbuilder.com and has not seen many promising jobs in my field. I have seen many programmer jobs, but I am not a programmer. My job search area is network related and hardware diagnosing and repairing, not programming. I did take a couple classes on programming, but it just isn’t my thing. I also browse through local and Columbus area newspapers, but thought it was worth the effort to post on our local bulletin board.
My resume was recently posted on myspace and is currently being tweeked.
http://www.myspace.com/helpdesk_hopefulI do know my way around the inside of a PC and have completed A+ certification for specifically help desk. I also took several classes on computer repair and diagnostics, included a prep class for A+ certification for computer repair.
Please don’t misunderstand,
I AM NOT requesting door to door repair service work for myself, so please don’t instant message or private message me about this. Also please don’t track me down and bring your PC to me. I have already had similar happenings where I work after someone overheard a coworker talking to someone else about my PC knowledge. I sadly had a couple people bringing PCs to my work asking where the PC repair room was. So please don’t. If you do, you WILL be turned away because it is unrelated to my current work activities.
